Wordfest’s Imagine On Air presents Marie Henein to celebrate the publication of her highly anticipated memoir Nothing But the Truth. Henein – arguably Canada's most sought-after lawyer – has written an uncompromising book that is at once raw, beautiful, and altogether unforgettable.
This refreshingly unconstrained conversation will delve into Henein's immigrant experience; the role models who shaped her; the ethics of criminal law; the pros and cons of being a household name in this country; and what it took to rise to the top in a male-dominated world.
The one-hour show, hosted by Shelley Youngblut, Wordfest’s CEO &Creative Ringleader, airs at 7:00 PM MT. (The pre-show will begin at 6:50 PM.) Tickets are $40 (plus tax) and include your ticket, a signed* copy of Nothing But theTruth, and shipping in Canada. (*Bookplates.) If you are unable to watch live or want to watch again, the show will be available on demand at Wordfest.com until midnight Nov. 13.
We are thrilled to be partnering with Indigo Books. Official publication date for Nothing But the Truth is Sept. 28, at which point Indigo can begin shipping the books – as soon as they process your order, Indigo will send you a confirmation email with tracking information. Customers who place their orders before Oct. 6 should receive their book before the event on Oct. 13. Orders to rural and remote addresses might take a few days longer.
You'll also receive an email reminder the day before the show, as well as Wordfest's unique Digital Doggie Bag the day after with links and extras inspired by the conversation.
We’re thankful to Penguin Random House Canada for making it possible for us to connect you with Marie Henein.
